With The Help Of A Giant Dog, A Grumpy Shelter Kitten Transforms into a Better Kitty

The kitten wasn’t exactly the most adoptable at Jelly’s Place in San Pablo, California.

When visitors passed by or approached the kitten’s cage, she would hiss and withdraw her entire body into a corner.

The kitten, who had been discovered as a stray, had no chance of finding a home.
Kendal Benken, a seasoned wild kitten whisperer at the shelter, was contacted.

“They said, ‘You should come here and have a look at this odd animal,'” Benken told The Dodo.

Benken has perfected the skill of taming even the wildest kittens. Her rescue dogs and cats have the power to make even the most frightened animals feel at ease.

She raced over to the shelter to check out the cats.

Within minutes, Benken concluded that the 5-week-old Siamese wasn’t threatening, but rather scared.

“No one could get near her.” Benken explained, “She was outraged.” “She was a little demon,” the narrator continues. It had been a fight-or-flight reaction.

Most likely, she had never been handled before. She had an aggressive demeanor.

She was hissing and hissing and hissing and hissing and hissing and hissing and hissing and hissing and hissing and hissing and hissing “However, she was beautiful.”

Wrapping the unhappy kitten in a towel and gently cradling her was the only way to convey her. Benken carefully swaddled the cat, put her in a container, and drove her home.

The kitty was not pleased with this arrangement, and when she arrived at Benken’s place, she was still grumpy. Benken dubbed her Betty because she was confident she would win.
