Jose Antonio Pereira is an elderly Brazilian who has to earn his living by collecting garbage. Every day during his work, he is accompanied by two large dogs, whom Jose calls Bob and Chiara.
One of the working days the man had a heart attack. The dogs immediately realized that something was wrong, but they could not help their owner in any way. But their fuss attracted the attention of passers-by, and they called an ambulance.
But the doctors found themselves in a difficult situation: Bob and Chiara defended the owner. They were not sure that strangers in the same white clothes would not harm the unconscious Jose.
By hook or by crook, the ambulance doctors, Josian and Maria, who came to the call, were able to calm the dogs.
The man was put on a gurney, but the dogs flatly refused to be somewhere at a distance. They entered the ambulance immediately after the doctors. Chiara settled in the aisle, and her spotted friend Bob lay down very close to the gurney. After some consultation, the girls understood: the dogs will not back down. Therefore, they went to the hospital with them.
