Since their first meeting, this Shetland and this Newfoundland have forged an unshakeable friendship

Their friendship is as unlikely as it is touching. Sutton is a young pony, Dom a Newfoundland dog, and the two of them adore each other so much that they can’t live without each other.

Their owners are delighted to be the privileged witnesses of their wonderful relationship.

Emma Bone, 33, and her husband Mark, 40, are the proud owners of 8 magnificent  Newfoundland dogs, which they breed on their property in Hexham in the county of Northumberland (North of England).

The family also has a very special member; a 4 month old Shetland pony called Sutton.

As Metro recounts, the young equine arrived at the home on September 19, 2021. His meeting with one of the canines, by the name of Dom, was love at first sight.

The 2 animals, although belonging to different species, became inseparable from the moment they saw each other.

Since then, Dom and Sutton have spent their time exchanging expressions of affection, eating meals together, and taking naps side by side. Not to mention the walks and the games that they enjoy sharing all day long.

“We don’t really know if Sutton thinks Dom is a horse, or if Sutton thinks he’s a dog, or maybe a little of both,” Bone explains. It’s amazing, and it makes me so happy to see them together. ”

The Shetland pony and the Newfoundland have only recently known each other, but they are already best friends in the world. Everything suggests that their links will only strengthen over time.

Their owner is convinced: “We can not wait to see how their relationship is strengthened and developed,” she says, in fact, on this subject.
