Nurse cares for mama goose waiting for her eggs to hatch in hospital parking lot

Vivian Foulke, a NICU nurse, noticed a mama goose outside in the hospital parking lot, who was laying five eggs.

The nurses at the NICU at Lehigh Valley Hospital Cedar Crest in Allentown, Pennsylvania, are accustomed to caring for pregnant women and new mothers on a daily basis, but their newest patient is unique.

Since then, more nurses have joined in caring for the goose, and everyone in the neighbourhood is aware of her.

Even the people mowing the lawn are careful not to mow too close to her because the valet staff at the hospital is aware of her presence.

The eggs are expected to hatch any day now, and the nurses are excited to see the newborns.

Meanwhile, they’ll continue to provide the mama with all of the food and water she requires to keep her offspring healthy.

The mama goose and her eggs are also protected by the father goose, who stays close by.

So we know the babies will have two excellent parents once the eggs hatch!
