Some souls are made to meet and never separate again. This is the case of Rowdy and Dave. The dog and the rabbit are the best in the world!
Luke Crouch and his girlfriend Alex live in Durban, South Africa. Dave, a 3-year-old rabbit, and Rowdy, a 2-year-old dog adopted from a shelter, joined the couple one day. We can say that this quartet forms a beautiful little family!
But what caught our attention was the relationship between the leporid and the canine. Their tender friendship melts the hearts of thousands of Internet users, reports Newsweek in an article published on April 6, 2022.
A rain of “likes” and positive comments falls on the photos illustrating the adorable couple. “Interspecies friendships are really precious,” said a user of the community website Reddit, for example; “This is the healthiest thing I’ve seen in a long time,” wrote another.
As a general rule, introductions between a dog and a rabbit must be prepared beforehand. On D-Day, caution is required, especially for the safety of the lagomorph.
As for Rowdy and Dave, a strong and unique bond quickly formed between them… although their owners still had to keep an eye on the duo at first!
“Rowdy chased Dave around the house when she was younger, and Dave chased her,” Crouch explained. “They became friends pretty quickly, but Dave gave Rowdy the occasional ‘slap’ when she got too energetic.
