Tough police dog changes before handlers eyes when baby girl approaches

We often associate people in law enforcement with being tough.

They must be, of course. They must stop the wicked guys surrounding us, and they will need all of their strength to do it.

The same may be said for the K9 dogs who assist these officers.

The majority of K9 unit canines are large, tough, and extremely good at what they do. They can detect danger or the person they need to save from great distances.

When it’s time for duty, Sonny is one of those K9 dogs who is always ready. Corporal Jason Frey of the Police Department is his paw-rent.

Sonny was always ready to go on duty and go full “police” mode, according to him. Sonny would jump inside the patrol cruiser whenever he saw Jason in his police outfit.

He admitted to The Dodo that he would occasionally vent, and it appeared that Sonny was paying attention. He could detect when Jason was happy or sad, and he would frequently answer to him (in barks, of course) to let him know he understood.

Sonny, on the other hand, instantly shuts off his “police” switch when they get home.

He transforms into an adoring big brother to Reagan, his younger sister. Sonny used to be Jason and Lainey’s “whole world,” but things changed when Lainey gave birth to their baby girl.

They were first concerned about Sonny’s reaction to no longer being the “baby.”

They were taken aback by how nicely he adjusted to having a kid in the house. Sonny was patient and compassionate to his tiny sister, despite his stern “police” mentality.

His patience with Reagan demonstrates his deep love for her.
