After “a gigantic mountain lion” stormed into the property, a daring dog put its life on the line to protect his people. Rocky, the intrepid dog, was as tough as a rock and didn’t hold back when he came face to face with the terrifying wild cat.
Regretfully, the dog paid a heavy price, as he was severely damaged during the encounter with the dangerous beast. Fortunately, Rocky was subsequently rescued by the family he was attempting to protect and lived.
Mary Padres of La Verne, California, went out to check after hearing the family’s two dogs screaming furiously. However, the woman was taken aback when she discovered a mountain lion in her garden. The wild animal ignored the two dogs until Rocky, the younger of the two, began chasing it away from the land.
“I panicked out as soon as I spotted it,” the woman told ABC7, “and shouted, ‘Mountain lion!'” The lion was staring at me. It was enormous.”
Rocky proceeded to pursue the mountain lion up the slope close to their house, demonstrating that you don’t have to be a hero just because you’re huge.
Rocky’s great bravery allowed the feline to get buried in the undergrowth, but the dog received some serious wounds as a result.
The brave dog was transported to the hospital and is now safe, although he required nearly 300 stitches to repair his injuries. The entire family is ecstatic about their dog, who was willing to lay down his job was to protect the others.
