Rocket Larry is an African Sulcata tortoise that came into the lives of his humans back in 2009. On the other hand, Puka was rescued by a friend of the family, who found her sitting next to a homeless man, wearing a little bowtie.
The man couldn’t look after Puka properly and their friend offered to take her home and ended up with a new family and a new tortoise sibling.
Despite Puka’s condition of cleft palate, which unfortunately costs many puppies their lives due to the inability to feed themselves, this pooch has pulled through and grown into a healthy, big dog who loves to share time with her brother Larry.
Since being placed together, they’ve gotten along: Rocket Larry was never scared of Puka and she was more than happy to have a friend to hang out with. Match made in heaven!
They’re so close, they sometimes even cuddle together.
Puka is often checking in on Larry and whenever the tortoise is hiding in a difficult place so his parents can’t find him, all they do is tell Puka ‘find Larry’ and in no time, she’ll find her best friend and brother.
