That’s why the union of Richard Gere and Cindy Crawford didn’t work out: the reason amazed everyone

Nowadays, few people recall the marriage of model Cindy Crawford and Hollywood actor Richard Gere.

Despite the marriages of models with actors have not shocked anyone for a long time, and even with a greater age difference, these relationships have always looked like a short union.

Crawford is a young star of the world modeling business, and Gere is a closed Buddhist, whom his colleagues call “a closed book.”

They were too different, and the age difference only worsened this problem.

They rarely mention each other in public, but in a candid interview with Oprah Winfrey, Cindy Crawford shared that she had to work on keeping them friends. Although they were not friends when they were together:

In 1998, the 32-year-old model married 36-year-old entrepreneur Randy Gerber, had two children, and has been happily married for 25 years. As the later life of both shows, the age difference as such was an issue for only one side.

In 2002, Richard Gere married model and actress Carey Lowell. Before the official registration of marriage, they met for about seven years, their son Homer was born two years before the wedding.

This was the first child for the actor, who became a father only at the age of 51.

Lowell is 12 years younger than Gere, but their 11-year marriage and the 18-year union were not an adult male-young female relationship.

They got married when he was 53, she was 41. They filed for divorce in 2013, which was formalized three years later.

So the age difference can be different because what suits one, for others will be a real test. Like life with a young model who shines on covers and catwalks when you dream of quiet family happiness.
