We introduce the Peruvian Juliana Koepke, her story began in 1972. A girl was the only saved from an awful plane accident.
The plane in which Juliana was flying with her mother fell from a huge height into the deserted jungle.
People did not realize how a lonely, afraid, injured child had been able to live in an area full of wild animals. Lots of years have gone by since then, but Köpke’s case is shocking even today.
At that disastrous time, Juliana and her mother were going to meet her father, who was working in a different city, for Christmas.
Because of the accident, the plane fell more than 3 km into the tropical forest.
The fire did not begin as a result of the rain. Hunts did not find a crash place. All thought that no one was alive.
Juliana was badly hurt by the fall. Her body was covered in deep cuts, she had a concussion, a torn tendon, and a broken arm.
Due to her father, she had some information about how to live in the jungle. Firstly she tried to find his mother but found nobody.
After 4 days, the girl’s welfare bettered a little, and she resolved to reach civilization by herself.
During the ride, Juliana found one box of candy. The girl ate the candy and went to the stream flowing and went downstream.
There were tingles in the inflamed wound. Despite that, the girl obstinately continued to go.
Only on the 10th day of wandering in the jungle that Juliana achieved the woodcutter’s hut.
They got rid of some of the caterpillars by cleaning the wound with gasoline, and the following day they took the saved girl closer to civilization.
Then, 3 films on the basis of the girl’s story were made. Later the woman wrote an autobiographic.
