The most adorable emperor penguins take accidental selfie after finding camera in Antartica

Animals have a way of brightening up even the most depressing situations. However, although we’ve become accustomed to dogs and cats providing amusement, wild animals appear to be the same. These two emperor penguins recently demonstrated this.

I’ve always believed cats are the most curious animals in the world, but I guess I was incorrect, since the curiosity of these two penguins resulted in one of the most absurd nature situations I’ve ever seen.

Eddie Gault, an Antarctic expeditioner, wanted to capture such uncommon vistas when he dropped his camera on the freezing ground. Instead, he received some selfies from penguins.

The amusing scenario occurred at the Auster Rookery, which is one of the world’s largest emperor penguin rookeries, near Australian Mawson research stations.

Two penguins approached Eddie’s camera and began filming themselves out of curiosity.

The Australian Antarctic Division commented on Twitter, “Penguin selfie gives bird’s eye view of life at Antarctica!” “Expeditioner Eddie got curious Emperors on footages in the Auster Rookery near Australia’s Mawson research station.”

Emperor penguins are among the prettiest animals on the planet, yet they are also among the most intelligent. They survive and reproduce in some of the world’s most extreme weather conditions.
