Love overload: the most caring police officer stops traffic to save the life of a tiny kitten

When a kind commuter in Lima, Peru discovered the adorable month-old kitten in the middle of the highway, she instantly stopped her car.

Lorena Castro was on her way to the city centre of Lima when she came across the poor kitten.

Castro told Peruvian daily El Comercio, “I was about to get out of the car to pick her up when the motorcycle cop passed by.”

“‘Stay in the car,’ he ordered. ‘Don’t worry, I’ll take care of it.’

She then decided to activate her camera and record the spectacular rescue.

The officer then proceeded to close several lanes of traffic, preventing the cat from being struck by a bus.

Castro intended to reward the police for his efforts when he returned, but the officer declined and went about his business.

Castro has called the kitten Polly Tana after the “Metropolitano” bus line on which she was discovered.

Thanks to the kindness of a Peruvian police officer, Polly is currently in good health.
