Family love for its Golden Retriever with birth defect leaving him with 2 muzzles

Wallis was born with a birth defect separating his nose in 2, giving the impression that he had a pair of noses. This unique looking dog’s family adores him and his life is very fulfilling.

When Lana Culley, 21 at the time, was looking for a dog to adopt, she spotted a young Golden Retriever born with a physical peculiarity; 2 truffles in this case, reports the Daily Mail.

In fact, the canine in question, whom she named Wallis, was born with a cleft palate which caused the 2 parts of her nose to be separated by a few millimeters.

had fallen totally in love with him and immediately decided to adopt him.

Wallis quickly established himself in his family, who live in Poole on the outskirts of Bournemouth in the south-west of England. With Sunny, the Culley’s other Golden Retriever, the bond was perfect from the start and the two became inseparable.


They spend their days playing and running on the family farm, at the beach or by the lake. Wallis’s double nose does not cause him any discomfort, and he leads a life as happy as any of his fellows.

“Apart from his congenital malformation, he has no other difference,” explains Lana Culley, who also says that during walks, they are often approached by passers-by called out by the unique muzzle of the quadruped.

The dog is also gaining attention on social media. “Every time we post pictures of him online, we get tons of comments from people who think he’s really cute,” says his mistress. His family adore him and wouldn’t trade him for any other dog in the world.
