Boxer dog seeks new family after tragic death of his proprietor

A loving new family is sought for Meo, a dog whose owner was killed last week as a result of an assault. The Lorient SPA team takes care of it while waiting to be able to entrust it to its future masters.

A dog who has lost his owner in tragic circumstances is waiting to be adopted at the Lorient SPA, as ActuMorbihan reported on Wednesday, November 30.

The tragedy took place last week, on the night of Thursday 25 to Friday 26 November, in a home for young workers in Auray (56). The victim of this murder is the night porter of the establishment, a sixty-year-old.

A suspect was arrested and placed in police custody, then hospitalized under duress in a specialized structure. He is a resident of the home, in his twenties.

The night watchman had a dog, a Boxer by the name of Méo and 5 and a half years old. After the assault that claimed the life of his master, the quadruped was transferred to the SPA in Lorient, which launched an appeal on Facebook.
The Morbihan refuge is looking for a new family for the bereaved canine. “He cannot be a victim of human violence, and we hope that very soon he will find the happiness he deserves”, we can read on the adoption sheet, which can be viewed on the SPA lorientaise website.

“An adorable dog, not aggressive with people”
It is stated that Méo is tattooed, vaccinated and that he had a garden with his late owner. Ideally, therefore, the Boxer’s new home would include an outdoor space as well.
